29th of July, day 13:

I had trouble waking up because of the fun time I had yesterday, but eventually we all headed off to Montmartre, the highest point in Paris. It was only 10 mins from our hotel. Mum and I were to lazy to walk the last 200m so we took the cable car called the funiculaire. Before we got on, an African man gave me a bracelet saying ' HAKUNA MATATA' which means Don't worry, be happy. Montmartre was beautiful-and crowded. We had lunch in a bistro run by someone who looked just like Zinedine Zidane!

The weather became more sunny, so we took the metro to Arcde Triomphe. it was a long climb to the top but it was worth it. We saw some arab breakdancer's who were really good. We then went to Pont de L'Alma and boarded a passenger boat called Bateaux Mouches for a trip along the River Seine. The weather was perfect. We saw Le Louvre, Notre Dame cathedral, La Musee D'Orsay, L'Ile de la Cite, les Invalides and the Eiffel Tower.
We had dinner in a smart restaurant close to the river, then walked along the Champs Elysees and the Tuileries. We saw people being fired into the sky by a reverse bungee jump machine. Boy, did they scream! I nearly fell asleep on the way home
